The stars came out again!
FESTMICHAEL was held on 9.6. 2011 as a successful second year show by students of School of Advertising Michael. In the context of secondary education this was entirely unique event which was an initiative of students. Premiere last year met with an enthusiastic reception, this year surpassed last year's enthusiasm.

Premiere last year met with an enthusiastic reception, this year surpassed last year's enthusiasm.
The project FESTMICHAEL 2011 was supported by sponsorship of company ČEZ, which the school Michael cooperates with, also it was supported by iStyle, Nikon, FotoŠkoda, Avion Postproduction, iCartel, Metropol TV, Radio Rockmax, Seznam.cz and more.
Also this FESTMICHAEL was divided into two parts. The first is traditionally held from 15 pm in the legendary Prague Světozor, where visitors could see a show of 22 works selected by students majoring in film production. For the first time this year with international participation. Several films were provided by Private Secondary Art School from Košice.
After the film show the FESTMICHAEL moved to beautiful New Town Hall premises where people could see the work of this year's graduates, graduates of Art Photography and Graphic Design on the topic: Czech film poster. You can see exposure of these works in the New Town Hall premises until 31 August 2011.
On the top floor of City Hall tower you can see several photographs of charitable events from our students - Prague for Haiti, works from last year.
The professional jury headed by director Jaroslav Brabec, leader in film creation, doc. Mgr. Vladimir Kozlík, a leader of Art Photography, MA Jakub Štěpánek, a leader of graphic design and visual communication, awarded the most interesting film, photography and graphic work with prizes.
Decisions of jury in individual creative fields took place under the authorities of extraordinary artists. Patronage of the Film branch of study took movie film director, screenwriter, documentarist Fero Fenič. Artistic photography supported "remotely" famous photographer Antonin Kratochvil, who sent the pre-recorded video. Aleš Najbrt praised award-winning graphic design works. However, we could see other celebrities such as director Karel Smyczek.
Awarded students in the field of film making: 1 place – film Isolation by Luboš Rezler, Patrick Michalů and Jan Štětina. 2.place – film The Feeling of Emptiness by Helena Králová and 3.place – commercial for SOHO Shoes by Matěj Novák. In the field of graphic design 1.place won Sergey Nikolajev, 2.place Martin Kadlec and 3.place Kristýna Machová. Special prize was given to Tomáš Bukáček for the visual style. In the field of Art Photography Teresa Valníčková won 1.place, 2.place Martin Kačírek and 3.place Peter Jansová.
Audience Award was given to the film Isolation.
This year the winners also took reminder of their success - the price in the shape of the bulb. Design of this prize is the work of fourth-year student of Graphic Design Tomáš Moravec.
Also the logo and visual FESTMICHAEL 2011, filmed trailer, medallion A. Kratochvíl, PR and production were the work of students, who also created the iPhone application with FESTMICHAEL gallery in collaboration with iCartel.
