Photographs from Michael Art School in Prague for sale in the USA.
Proceeds of this charity event will be donated to funds supporting orphaned children in Haiti.
This spontaneous project of Michael Art School in Prague was created in response to reaction of our students, who would like to help in some humanitarian way, after the earthquake.
In the aftermath of the apocalyptic events on the Island students of the Art
Photography voiced the wish not to be only bystanders watching this human tragedy,
but to be of help.
They took cameras to the streets of Prague and worked in freezing weather to
produce photographs for a charity show in Miami.
This location was chosen for its proximity to the Island. Miami is known in Europe as a multicultural city with numerous Haitian community. Not to exclude a great number of Americans with European origins.
Our students took photographs depicting the Old World, well renown Judeo-Christian cultural centre. The Prague Old Town, Jewish Ghetto, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and the King's Way. But they didn't hesitate to take pictures of the modern features! The Cubist architecture, Frank Gery's Dancing House, memorable statues, romantic corners, snow covered streets and snap-shots of locals.
Visitor to this charity show will see the works of exceptionally talented artists, capturing an old theme in new unexpected manner.
Selection of the best works created by students of Michael Art School in Prague, will be shown from March 13th to March 31st in the Edge Zones Gallery at 47Ne. 25St. Miami. Fl 33147.
All photographs are for sale.
Michael Art School donates all the proceeds from sales to reputable humanitarian
organization operating in Haiti.
